MacGregor has recycling pick up every Tuesday and garbage pick up every Thursday. Please ensure garbage and recycling is tied in the proper bags and containers. Garbage and recycling must be placed out at the curb by 8:00 a.m. to ensure refuse is picked up.

Nor-Mac Landfill Hours are as follows: Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Closed Sundays and Mondays. On Tuesdays following long weekends, the Landfill will be closed. If you have any inquires regarding the Landfill please call 685-2988.

For your convenience, The Town of MacGregor is pleased to offer pre-authorized utility payments. If you are interested, please fill out the Pre-authorized form and return it to the office.

Building Permits

Permits are required before construction or renovations begin. Failure to comply may result in a stop work order.

Building permit prices are as follows:

Please note, your building permit is not valid until we have received detailed site map plans and/or blueprints, payment, a permit number has been assigned by municipal office personnel and the permit has been approved by The Building Inspector and the Town of MacGregor Council.

Dog Control: All dogs within the Town of MacGregor must be licensed every year and kept within their property limits at all times. They must not be allowed to bite, pursue, run at large, cause noise disturbances or defecate on public/private property. The license covers the period of January 1^st to December 31^st. The costs to license your dog are outlined below:
A spayed/neutered dog $10.00 each and non spayed/neutered $20.00 each. A license may be obtained at the municipal office.

i) Where a current license is held for the dog the sum of $50.00 for the first impounding, $100.00 for the second impounding, $150.00 for the third impounding, $200.00 for the fourth impounding of the same dog in any 12 months, plus $15.00 per day of impounding.
ii) Where no current license is held for the dog the sum of $100.00 for the first impounding, $200.00 for the second impounding, $300.00 for the third impounding and $400.00 for the fourth impounding, plus $15.00 per day of impounding, plus the license fee applicable to the dog.
